Braised Bombshell and I frequent the Ice Box Cafe in South Beach at least 3 times a month. Recently, I sat across from BB eating my perfectly poached eggs over braised short rib hash with tomato cucumber salad smothered in a delicious tangy remoulade, and I thought to myself, “This place is always on their game.” One word of advice, if you’re ever there and they’re serving the “guava & cream cheese stuffed french toast covered in butterscotch” don’t even read the rest of the menu, just order it. You will end up in a vicious fork battle with whoever you let try some, so only share it with someone you’re not afraid to stab through the tibia.
