Not the prettiest of pics, but this is batch experiment number 1, project Thanksgiving: pumpkin chocolate pecan bread.
Had brunch at a perfect little spot in Chicago, Batter and Berries.
I never order chicken & waffles, it’s not really my thing for breakfast. But I gave in and ordered the chicken-stuffed sweet potato waffle with chicken in nutmeg hot sauce.
Snuck a pic of my friend’s plate at Wood. She couldn’t stop raving about it and said it was one of the top ribeyes she’s ever tasted.

Excuse the shitty pic, it was dark in Wood. Staying on the seafood trend, I ordered the hamachi with beet foam. Must admit, I prefer hamachi raw. It’s flavor is much bolder uncooked.
