Lane buster dessert from Ten Park Lanes in Charlotte, NC. My good friends (secret BVSC correspondent names to come) took me to a bowling alley in a nondescript part of Charlotte to have BBQ. Now normally when I hear “bowling alley” and “food” in the same sentence, I’m thinking let me break out the Purell, but the food blew me away! This was my modded “Smoke Jar” with Mac & Cheese, topped with brisket burnt ends, topped with cole slaw (normally smoked jalapenos). No words to do this justice, every layer was perfectly prepared, just go…no RUN to Ten Park Lanes in Charlotte, NC.

One of my new obsessions in Austin is Leaf, a salad place unlike any other… Why you say? Well most would mention it’s because the ingredients you can choose from are local, organic and all that jazz… But really it’s because they have a preset menu that’s inventive and oh so tasty, so it eliminates the decision making process on your part (and I can be quite indecisive). No matter what you choose, your own or one of theirs, it will for sure be tasty. Oh, so, tasty.
In a dark corner, I devour chicken kabobs from Mythos… Flash be damned.

So Gastrodamus has been uber excited to take me to Urban Belly noodle shop in the outskirts on nowhereburbs in Chitown. We ordered the #14 (vegetarian with pescetarian broth) and I swear I’ve never had tofu this good. And I freakn’ HATE tofu! Dem da fermented soybean breaks.
